30 Days of Gratitude 2011 Day 30
Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of you and your families. I hope this is a wonderful day for all of you, filled with things you love and reminders of all that you have to be thankful for in your life.
We’re having the feast at our house today. The bird is in the roaster, the ham will soon be put in the oven, and the house is smelling like the holiday. I love this time of year. Soon my nephew and my aunt will be over and we will enjoy a relaxing day of good food and company.
We have my grandmother here with us today. It doesn’t seem that long ago that we had holiday dinners at her house. She always cooked, and no matter where the dinner, it was always Gram who made the holiday pies and potica. When she came in today, I asked her what she was going to cook today. Her response: Not a darned thing! I’m just going to eat what everyone else has cooked.” And you know, at 97, she’s sure entitled to that!
As our 30 days of gratitude challenge comes to an end today, I want to encourage you to continue to find those things every single day that you are thankful for in your life. Don’t make it a 30 day challenge, or something that you only focus on during this holiday season. Being grateful for things has the ability to change our outlook and I hope you make it an ongoing activity in life!
Now enjoy your day and Happy Thanksgiving!
