2012 Education Opportunities
Medical transcriptionists are always looking for great education opportunities. One of the things we’re committed to both here and at the MT Inner Circle is providing those things. Today we’re excited to announce a new series for 2012! It is called “Specialty Standards in Clinical Documentation.”
This series will provide one webinar each month on a different area of clinical documentation. We’ll cover all of the things you’d like to know about how things vary in each area and how the standards apply.
The Presenters
The 2012 Specialty Standards in Clinical Documentation team will consist of Glenda Ripley, CMT, Deb Nolan, CMT, and Kathy Nicholls, CMT. We’re really excited to bring this to you and look forward to a great time of learning and sharing. Glenda and Deb both have a great background in both quality assurance and education. You will enjoy these sessions and learn a lot at the same time!
The Schedule
Each month will be dedicated to a new area of clinical documentation. We will cover the proper way to format things, what’s different in each specialty, and how to handle some of those tough areas. Each webinar will be held on Wednesday at 4 p.m. PST. Here’s the line up:
January 18 – Specialty Standards in Pharmacology
February 22 – Specialty Standards in Cardiology
March 21 – Specialty Standards in Genetics
April 18 – Special Standards in Hematology/Oncology
May 16 – Specialty Standards in Dermatology, Allergy and Immunology
June 20 – Special Standards in Orthopedics and Neurology
July 18 – Specialty Standards in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Pediatrics
August 15 – Specialty Standards in Ophthalmology
September 19 – Specialty Standards in Organisms and Pathogens
October 17 – Specialty Standards in Psychiatry
November 14 – Specialty Standards in Pulmonary and Respiratory
December 19 – Specialty Standards in Radiology, Diabetes and Molecular Terms
NOTE: If you can’t attend at this time, you can still sign up and take advantage of the course. Access will be given after the webinar is recorded so you can view the webinar and do the learning activities!
The Format
Each session will consist of a webinar and a learning activity, which will apply the knowledge you have gained during the session. Each individual webinar has been pre-approved by AHDI for 1.5 CECs in the MTT category.
The Investment
Each webinar will be normally priced at $15 per session. If you purchase the entire series, you will receive the series for a discounted price of $120, like getting two free!
